Amazon CloudWatch has launched cross-account and cross-region log centralization, a new feature that simplifies log management across multiple AWS accounts and regions.
- Allows copying log data from multiple accounts/regions into a single destination account
- Integrates with AWS Organizations for seamless log aggregation
- Supports scoping log centralization rules to entire organization, specific units, or selected accounts
- Enriches log events with new system fields to identify original source account and region
- Offers selective log group copying and automatic merging of same-named log groups
- Available in 17 global regions
The first log copy is free, with additional copies priced at $0.05/GB of centralized logs.
