Amazon OpenSearch Ingestion now supports cross-account ingestion for push-based data sources like HTTP and OpenTelemetry (OTel).
- Enables sharing of OpenSearch Ingestion pipelines across different AWS accounts
- Eliminates need for complex network configurations like VPC peering
- Allows central logging teams to create pipelines and grant access to development teams
- Supports ingesting logs, metrics, and traces across accounts
- Reduces operational overhead and sharing costs
The feature is available in all AWS regions where OpenSearch Ingestion is offered, and can be implemented through resource policies in the AWS Management Console or AWS CLI.
