AWS has announced cross-account ingestion support for Amazon OpenSearch Ingestion, enabling organizations to share data pipelines across different accounts more easily.
- Allows central observability teams to create and share OpenSearch Ingestion pipelines with other teams
- Supports push-based sources like HTTP and OpenTelemetry
- Eliminates previous complex VPC sharing requirements
- Requires compatible VPC configurations with DNS support enabled
- Involves creating resource policies and pipeline endpoints across accounts
This new feature simplifies cross-account data ingestion, making it easier for teams to share and manage observability data across different AWS accounts.
