Amazon AppStream 2.0 has introduced local file redirection support for multi-session fleets, enhancing user experience and productivity.

  • Enables seamless access to local files directly from streaming applications
  • Provides intuitive drag-and-drop file management
  • Reduces manual file uploads and downloads
  • Maintains security through controlled local resource access
  • Available at no additional cost in all AWS regions

To use the feature, administrators must use an AppStream 2.0 image with the latest agent or updated after September 05, 2025.
