AWS Service Availability Updates
News
AWS has announced availability changes for multiple services across three categories:
- Services Moving to Maintenance: 17 services will no longer be accessible to new customers starting Nov 7, 2025, including Amazon Cloud Directory, Amazon Glacier, AWS Migration Hub, and AWS Snowball Edge variants
- Services Entering Sunset: 4 services are being phased out with a typical 12-month transition period, including Amazon FinSpace, Amazon Lookout for Equipment, and AWS IoT Greengrass v1
- Services Reaching End of Support: AWS Mainframe Modernization App Testing has already reached end of support as of October 7, 2025
AWS recommends affected customers review migration guides and contact AWS Support for assistance in transitioning to alternative solutions.
