AWS Transfer Family SFTP connectors now support VPC-based connectivity

AWS News Blog

AWS Transfer Family SFTP connectors now support VPC-based connectivity, enabling more secure and flexible file transfer options across different network environments.

  • Connect to private SFTP servers within AWS VPC, on-premises systems, and partner-hosted servers
  • Route file transfers through existing VPC security controls like AWS Network Firewall
  • Maintain server privacy without exposing endpoints to the internet
  • Use NAT gateways, Direct Connect, and VPN connections for high-bandwidth transfers
  • Simplify connectivity for hybrid environments, partner integrations, and regulated industries

The feature leverages Amazon VPC Lattice for secure connectivity, allowing organizations to transfer files between Amazon S3 and remote SFTP servers with enhanced network security and operational simplicity.
