AWS Resource Explorer has launched a new feature that provides immediate resource discovery within a Region, simplifying cloud resource management and visibility.
- Customers can now discover resources across AWS services without prior activation
- Requires minimum permissions from AWS Resource Explorer Read Only Access policy
- Supports resource search in AWS Management Console, Unified Search, AWS CLI, and SDKs
- Initially provides partial results with tagged and recently created untagged resources
- Full resource inventory requires additional setup and permissions
- Supports multi-account resource discovery through AWS Organizations
The enhancement eliminates initial setup steps and provides immediate access to resource discovery, making cloud resource management more efficient.
