AWS has expanded the Resource Explorer service to provide immediate resource discovery within a Region without requiring prior activation.
- Users can now search resources with minimal permissions using AWS Resource Explorer
- Resource discovery is available through console, Unified Search, AWS CLI, and SDKs
- Complete setup allows full inventory search with historical backfill and automatic updates
- Cross-Region search can be enabled with a single click or API call
- The feature is available at no additional cost in supported AWS Regions
This enhancement simplifies resource discovery and management for AWS users by making search capabilities more accessible and streamlined across different interfaces.
