Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio supports Amazon Athena workgroups

Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio now supports connecting to existing Amazon Athena workgroups, providing data engineers and analysts with enhanced SQL query capabilities.
- Users can now run SQL queries using pre-existing Athena workgroup settings
- Enables maintaining data usage limits and tracking query usage by team/project
- Can create a new Athena compute connection or connect to existing workgroups
- Available in all regions supported by SageMaker Unified Studio
To use this feature, navigate to SageMaker Unified Studio, select "Add compute", choose "Connect to existing compute resources", and create a connection to existing Athena workgroups.
