Amazon GameLift Servers has introduced built-in telemetry metrics across all server SDKs and game engine plugins, powered by OpenTelemetry.
- Enables game developers to generate, collect, and export critical client-side metrics
- Supports metrics collection for game servers on managed Amazon EC2 and container fleets
- Allows both pre-defined and custom metric generation
- Can publish metrics to Amazon Managed Service for Prometheus or Amazon CloudWatch
- Supports visualization through Amazon Managed Grafana and Amazon CloudWatch dashboards
The new feature helps developers optimize resource utilization, improve player experience, and identify operational issues across most AWS regions.
