BMW Group has transformed its data management through the Cloud Data Hub (CDH), breaking down traditional data silos and creating a centralized platform for knowledge sharing using Amazon QuickSight.

  • CDH manages over 19 PB of data across 6,400 data assets and 2,000 use cases
  • QuickSight dashboards are now treated as discoverable, shareable data products
  • Users can browse, search, and access dashboards through a centralized portal
  • Dashboard access is managed with public, private, and restricted classifications
  • Quick Sight adoption grew 197.9% within one year of integration

By democratizing data and knowledge sharing, BMW Group has created a more collaborative and data-driven organizational environment, with plans to further integrate AI and enhance metadata intelligence.
