Amazon RDS for Oracle has launched new R7i memory-optimized instances with significant performance enhancements for Oracle database workloads.

  • Powered by 4th Gen Intel Xeon Scalable processors with AWS Nitro System
  • Offers up to 64:1 memory-to-vCPU ratio
  • Uses DDR5 memory for high performance
  • Supports Bring Your Own License (BYOL) for Enterprise and Standard Edition 2
  • Enables customers to reduce Oracle database licensing and support costs

These new instances allow customers to run high-memory Oracle database workloads more efficiently, potentially reducing infrastructure costs while maintaining performance.
