AWS Config has launched 42 new managed rules to help organizations improve their cloud governance across various AWS services.

  • New rules cover security, cost, durability, and operational aspects
  • Can be enabled across single accounts or entire organizations
  • Rules help evaluate:
    • Tagging strategies
    • Security postures
    • Configuration best practices
  • New rules span services like Amazon EKS, EC2, Cognito, Amplify, and more
  • Can be grouped using Conformance Packs for easier deployment

These additional managed rules provide more comprehensive configuration monitoring and compliance checking for AWS environments.
