AWS Config now supports 191 additional managed rules across key services including Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, ECS, EKS, RDS, Redshift, S3, and CloudTrail to expand built-in governance coverage.
- New rules evaluate encryption, logging, public access, network security, and data protection configurations
- Covers AI workloads through Bedrock rules for network modes, recording, encryption, and authorization
- Includes database rules for Aurora, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Neptune, and RDS audit logging and encryption
- Provides container security rules for ECS task definitions, EKS node versions, and ECR image scanning
- Adds S3 rules for access points, ACLs, replication, MFA delete, and lifecycle policies
- Deploy rules individually or as part of conformance packs in supported AWS Regions
This expansion significantly increases governance coverage across AI workloads and core cloud infrastructure with managed compliance rules.
