Amazon CloudWatch Application Signals has introduced AI-powered Synthetics debugging, enhancing its Application Performance Monitoring (APM) capabilities.

  • Enables AI-assisted troubleshooting of synthetic monitoring failures
  • Supports natural language queries like 'Why is my checkout canary failing?'
  • Automatically correlates canary failures with service health metrics and traces
  • Performs diagnostic analysis across six key areas: Network, Authentication, Performance, Script Errors, Infrastructure, and Service Dependencies
  • Includes analysis of HTTP Archive files, CloudWatch logs, S3 artifacts, and configuration validation
  • Compatible with AI assistants like Amazon Q and Claude
  • Available in all commercial AWS regions with CloudWatch Synthetics

The feature significantly reduces manual effort in identifying and resolving synthetic monitoring issues through intelligent, AI-powered debugging.
