Amazon S3 now supports tags on S3 Tables

Amazon S3 has introduced support for tags on S3 Tables, offering two key benefits for users:

  • Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) for managing permissions automatically
  • Simplified cost tracking and organization using AWS Billing and Cost Management

Key features include:

  • Eliminates frequent IAM and resource-based policy updates
  • Supports tagging across all regions where S3 Tables is available
  • Enables tagging through AWS Management Console, SDK, API, and CLI

This update provides more flexible and efficient ways to manage access and track costs for S3 Tables.
