This article announces the general availability of provisioned mode for AWS Lambda with Amazon SQS Event Source Mapping, enabling optimized event processing with dedicated polling resources.
- 3x faster scaling and 16x higher concurrency for SQS event processing
- Event pollers auto-scale up to 1000 per concurrent executions per minute
- Support for up to 20,000 concurrency and 2 GBps aggregate traffic
- Configure minimum and maximum event pollers for baseline and peak capacity
- Each event poller handles up to 1 MB/sec throughput or 10 concurrent invokes
- Predictable low-latency processing during traffic spikes
- Monitor usage via Amazon CloudWatch ProvisionedPollers metric
