News

This article announces Provisioned Mode for AWS Lambda SQS event-source-mappings (ESMs), enabling optimized throughput with pre-provisioned polling resources.

  • Scales 3x faster with up to 1,000 concurrent executions per minute
  • Supports 16x higher concurrency up to 20,000 concurrent executions
  • Allows fine-tuning throughput by provisioning minimum/maximum event pollers
  • Handles unpredictable traffic spikes with lower latency and precise resource control
  • Generally available in all AWS Commercial Regions
  • Configurable via API, Console, CLI, SDK, CloudFormation, and SAM
  • Billed per Event Poller Unit (EPU) usage
