  • Faster network paths, reduced latency, eliminates public internet calls
  • No internet gateway or NAT device required
  • Covers all operations: creating directories, trust relationships, user management
  • Uses interface VPC endpoints with requester-managed network interfaces
  • Available in all AWS Regions supporting AWS Directory Service

AWS Directory Service now enables organizations to maintain strict network isolation by routing all API traffic through private VPC endpoints instead of public internet connectivity.
