  • Reduces database costs up to 35% for serverless, 20% for provisioned instances
  • Supports Aurora, RDS, DynamoDB, ElastiCache, DocumentDB, Neptune, Keyspaces, Timestream, and DMS
  • Hourly commitment applies across all AWS Regions automatically
  • Flexibility to switch database engines and deployment types during migrations
  • Additional usage beyond commitment billed at on-demand rates
  • Purchase via AWS Billing Console with Recommendations or Purchase Analyzer tools
  • Available in all AWS Regions outside China

Database Savings Plans extend AWS's existing Savings Plans model to databases, enabling cost optimization while maintaining flexibility for evolving workloads and global expansion.
