- SQL Server Developer Edition now available for free non-production workloads with Enterprise Edition features
- M7i/R7i instances on RDS for SQL Server offer up to 55% cost savings versus previous generations
- Optimize CPU capability allows customizing vCPU counts to reduce licensing costs while maintaining performance
- Storage capacity increased to 256 TiB through up to three additional storage volumes per instance
- Additional storage volumes support both io2 and gp3 types with zero-downtime addition or removal
- All capabilities available in all commercial AWS Regions and AWS GovCloud (US)
These enhancements provide significant cost optimization and operational flexibility for enterprise database workloads across development, testing, and production environments.
