  • New minScaleDownDelayMinutes parameter controls instance retention after job completion
  • Configurable delay ranges from 20 minutes to 1 week
  • Reduces job processing delays for intermittent and periodic workloads
  • Prevents unnecessary instance terminations and relaunches
  • Configure via AWS Batch API or Management Console
  • Delay applied at instance level based on last job completion
  • Available in all AWS Regions where AWS Batch operates

AWS Batch now enables better cost and performance optimization for workloads with variable job scheduling patterns.
