This article announces AWS IAM's new capability to create and configure IAM roles directly within service workflows, eliminating the need to switch between console tabs.
- Create and configure IAM roles without leaving service workflows
- Use default policies or simplified statement builder for custom permissions
- Supports EC2, Lambda, EKS, ECS, Glue, CloudFormation, KMS, DMS, Systems Manager, Secrets Manager, IoT Core
- Currently available in US East (N. Virginia) region
- Gradual rollout to additional AWS services and regions planned
