Amazon CloudFront now supports BYOIP for IPv6 through VPC IPAM integration

This article announces that Amazon CloudFront now supports bringing your own IPv6 addresses (BYOIP) for Anycast Static IPs through VPC IPAM integration.
- CloudFront Anycast Static IPs now support both IPv4 (/24) and IPv6 (/48) BYOIP
- Enables dual-stack configuration for dedicated IP address pools
- Simplifies IP address management across AWS global infrastructure
- Customers maintain existing allow-lists and branding during migration
- Available in all commercial AWS Regions except Middle East, GovCloud, and China
This enhancement allows network administrators to use their own public IPv6 addresses with CloudFront, improving security and network management without requiring IP address space changes.
