- Instance store volumes reduce storage costs and improve I/O performance for latency-sensitive workloads
- Configure custom ECS Managed Instances capacity provider to enable local storage
- Select EC2 instance types that include instance store volumes
- ECS automatically provisions EBS volumes when instance store is unavailable
