This article announces that Amazon VPC Lattice resource configurations now support private domain-name targets for secure cross-account access.
- Resource configurations can now define private FQDNs and share across accounts
- Set 'Resource Config DNS Resolution' property to 'IN_VPC' on resource gateway
- VPC Lattice resolves FQDNs using VPC's DNS configuration without public DNS entries
- Available through AWS Management Console, CLI, SDKs, and APIs
- No additional cost; available in all AWS Regions where VPC Lattice operates
VPC Lattice now enables secure sharing of privately-hosted resources across accounts without requiring public DNS resolution.
