Amazon VPC Lattice now supports configurable IP addresses for Resource Gateways
News
Amazon VPC Lattice now supports configurable IP addresses for Resource Gateways, allowing users to customize IPv4 address assignments for network interfaces.
- Users can specify the number of IPv4 addresses per elastic network interface (ENI)
- IPv4 address configuration becomes immutable after initial setting
- Default configuration is 16 IPv4 addresses per ENI
- IPv6 always receives a /80 CIDR per ENI
- Addresses are used for network address translation and determining concurrent connection capacity
- Feature is available at no additional cost across all AWS Regions supporting VPC Lattice
This enhancement provides more flexibility in managing network connections for resources across multiple VPCs and accounts.
