This article announces the general availability of Amazon EC2 G6e instances across additional AWS regions for SageMaker Studio notebooks.
- G6e instances now available in Middle East (Dubai), Asia Pacific (Tokyo, Seoul), and Europe (Frankfurt, Stockholm, Spain)
- Powered by up to 8 NVIDIA L40s GPUs with 48 GB memory per GPU
- Deliver 2.5x better performance compared to G5 instances
- Support LLM deployment up to 13B parameters and generative AI fine-tuning
- Enable interactive model testing and training for diffusion models
