Amazon Bedrock expands support for request-level usage attribution

News

This article announces that Amazon Bedrock now supports request-level usage attribution on the InvokeModel and InvokeModelWithResponseStream APIs.

  • Attribute model inference usage to teams, applications, environments, and experiments per request
  • Provides fine-grained visibility into usage distribution across organizations
  • Helps understand consumption patterns and optimize spending
  • Consistent tagging capability across entire bedrock-runtime endpoint
  • Complements existing resource, identity, project, and workspace-level attribution options
  • Requires enabling model invocation logging and adding metadata to requests
  • Available in all AWS commercial regions where Bedrock operates

This expansion enables customers to track and analyze Amazon Bedrock usage at granular request levels for better cost management and internal reporting.
