- New pidMode setting allows daemons to see all processes on the instance
- New ipcMode setting enables daemons to share IPC namespace with other containers
- Enables deployment of tracing, profiling, and security agents on ECS Managed Instances
- Daemons run once per managed instance and start before application tasks
- Allows independent agent deployment without embedding as sidecars
- Available in all AWS Regions at no additional cost
This feature simplifies agent deployment for ECS users by enabling process-aware and IPC-dependent agents to run as managed daemons with consistent coverage across workloads.
