Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Memory now supports strictly consistent metadata for long-term memory

News

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Memory now supports strictly consistent metadata for long-term memory records, allowing application-supplied metadata values to pass through extraction unchanged without LLM inference.

  • Metadata values provided directly from applications pass through extraction exactly as supplied
  • Strictly consistent metadata isolates event grouping and prevents merging of semantically similar records with different values
  • Enables department-scoped retrieval, compliance boundaries, and multi-tenant memory isolation
  • Up to three strictly consistent keys per strategy supported on semantic, user preference, and episodic strategies
  • Keys must be STRING type and declared in memory's indexed keys
  • Available in all AWS Regions where AgentCore Memory is supported

This feature ensures precise metadata handling for organized retrieval and regulatory compliance in agent memory systems.
