Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Memory now supports direct ingestion of content to long-term memory without requiring short-term memory storage.
- IngestData API enables direct submission of content for long-term memory extraction
- Supports conversational payloads (USER/ASSISTANT messages) and JSON payloads (events, logs)
- Eliminates requirement to store content as short-term memory event first
- Allows developers to adopt long-term memory independently of short-term memory
- Includes optional metadata support and real-time Kinesis notifications
- Available in all AWS Regions supporting Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Memory
