Amazon FSx for OpenZFS now supports on-demand data replication across AWS opt-in Regions, enabling cross-Region disaster recovery and data distribution.
- Replicate incremental point-in-time snapshots to opt-in Regions previously unsupported
- Enables disaster recovery, production data replication across Regions or accounts
- Supports lower latency access for global customers and workforce
- No additional charge for replication; standard AWS data transfer charges apply
- Available in all AWS Regions where Amazon FSx for OpenZFS is offered
This expansion enables organizations to build resilient cross-Region architectures using OpenZFS's managed file storage with snapshots, cloning, and compression capabilities.
