AWS IAM Identity Center now supports separate quotas for AWS accounts and applications

News

AWS IAM Identity Center now supports separate quotas for AWS accounts and applications, enabling independent scaling without capacity conflicts.

  • Default quota of 7,000 AWS accounts and 7,000 applications independently
  • Using more of one resource does not consume capacity from the other
  • Quotas can be increased via AWS Service Quotas console
  • Existing customers with higher limits automatically granted same limit for both
  • Available in all AWS Regions where IAM Identity Center is supported

Organizations managing thousands of AWS accounts can now onboard applications without impacting account quota capacity.
