News
This article announces that Amazon EKS now supports Kubernetes version rollback, enabling reversion to the previous minor version within 7 days after an upgrade.
- Rollback available via EKS console, AWS CLI, or AWS SDKs
- EKS evaluates rollback readiness with automated checks for API compatibility, version skew, and add-on compatibility
- For EKS Auto Mode clusters, worker nodes are automatically rolled back before the control plane
- Available at no additional cost in all AWS Regions where EKS is available
