AWS Systems Manager now enables unified management of Azure Virtual Machines alongside EC2 instances without manual agent installation or per-instance tier fees.
- Create Cloud Connectors to automatically deploy SSM Agent to Azure VMs at scale
- Manage Azure VMs and EC2 instances in a unified view from Systems Manager
- Use Session Manager, Run Command, Patch Manager, and Inventory across AWS and Azure
- Advanced Instances Tier eliminated entirely with no upfront per-node fees
- Pay-as-you-go pricing for Session Manager and Run Command on non-EC2 nodes starting September 30, 2026
This multicloud capability removes cost barriers for organizations managing hybrid and multicloud environments at scale.
