AWS Lambda console now provides a one-click setup prompt for coding agents that configures agents with AWS Serverless skills and the Serverless Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.

  • Eliminates friction of navigating multiple documentation pages for agent configuration
  • Installs AWS Serverless skills from Agent Toolkit for AWS and Serverless MCP server directly
  • Supports Claude Code, Kiro, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, Devin Desktop, and OpenCode
  • Includes three specialized Lambda skills: MicroVM, Managed Instances, and durable functions
  • Guides developers to AWS authentication if local configuration is not set up
  • Available in all commercial AWS Regions (except Middle East) and AWS GovCloud (US)

This one-click setup embeds serverless best practices from the start, streamlining the agent configuration process for Lambda developers.
