AWS Organizations increases RCP quota to 2,000 per organization

News

AWS Organizations now supports up to 2,000 resource control policies (RCPs) per organization, doubling the previous limit.

  • RCPs enable centralized management of maximum permissions across member accounts
  • Restrict external principals' access to resources organization-wide without updating individual policies
  • Supports fine-grained access control for large, complex multi-account environments
  • Available at no additional cost in all AWS Regions
  • Existing organizations automatically have access to the higher limit

This quota increase helps organizations manage large-scale, multi-account environments with more granular resource access controls.
