This article announces the availability of Amazon Redshift Graviton-based RG instances on the trailing track for production workloads.
- RG large and 12xlarge instance types now available on trailing track patch P202 and onwards
- Trailing track provides stability for production workloads on validated versions
- Delivers up to 2.4x faster query performance than RA3 instances
- Costs 30% less per vCPU compared to RA3 instances
- Available in all AWS regions where RG is generally available
- Provision new clusters or resize existing clusters via AWS Console, CLI, or SDKs
RG instances on the trailing track enable customers to achieve better performance and cost efficiency for production Redshift workloads.
