AWS Managed Microsoft AD now supports Standard to Enterprise Edition upgrade

AWS Directory Service now allows in-place upgrades of AWS Managed Microsoft AD from Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition through the AWS Management Console, CLI, and API.
- Standard Edition supports up to 5,000 users and objects; Enterprise Edition supports up to 500,000 objects
- Upgrade preserves existing trust relationships, application integrations, and group policies
- No DNS configuration changes or workload re-joining required
- Available in all AWS Regions where AWS Directory Service is offered
- Access upgrade via AWS Directory Service console by selecting directory and choosing Upgrade Edition
Organizations can now seamlessly scale their directory infrastructure without operational disruption or migration overhead.
