AWS Lambda now supports scalable network bandwidth for functions outside a VPC, enabling faster data transfer for latency-sensitive workloads.
- Network bandwidth scales from 625 Mbps at 2 GB memory to 3,000 Mbps at 10 GB memory
- Reduces function execution times and per-invocation costs for data-intensive workloads
- Applies to functions outside a VPC with 2 GB of memory or more
- Enable via AWS Service Quotas under Network bandwidth per execution environment quota
- Available at no additional charge in all commercial AWS Regions
This feature helps customers process large data volumes more efficiently, improving performance for latency-sensitive data processing applications.
