AWS Agent Registry is now generally available, providing enterprises with a centralized, governed catalog to register, discover, and manage AI agents, tools, and skills at scale.

• Operates across two planes: Governance Plane for comprehensive resource management and Discovery Plane for curated, high-performance consumer search
• Supports registration of MCP servers, Agent2Agent agents, skills, and custom resources through Console, CLI, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines
• Includes organization-wide auto-detection to identify shadow agents and MCP servers running on AgentCore runtime and gateway
• Provides semantic and lexical search, role-based access control, approval workflows, and full audit trails via CloudTrail
• Integrates with IDEs (Kiro, Claude Code) and Amazon Quick for native discovery without leaving development environments
• Roadmap includes security assessments, compliance evaluations, cross-organizational discovery, and expanded integrations with productivity tools
