Amazon RDS for MariaDB now supports community MariaDB minor versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, and 12.3.3

This article announces that Amazon RDS for MariaDB now supports five new community minor versions: 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, and 12.3.3.

  • New versions include support for post-quantum TLS (PQ-TLS) key exchange for enhanced encryption
  • Provides fixes for Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) in prior MariaDB versions
  • Includes bug fixes, performance improvements, and new community functionality
  • Upgrade options: Blue/Green Deployments, in-place upgrade, or snapshot restore
  • Enable automatic minor version upgrades and use AWS Organizations Upgrade Rollout Policy for phased deployments

Upgrading to these versions ensures security, performance, and access to the latest MariaDB community enhancements.
