Customize Amazon API Gateway destinations for execution logs

This article announces CloudWatch Logs delivery for Amazon API Gateway REST API execution logs, enabling flexible log routing and larger event sizes.

  • Route execution logs to CloudWatch Logs, Amazon S3, or Amazon Data Firehose instead of auto-managed log groups
  • Log events can be up to 1 MB per entry, eliminating previous 1 KB truncation limits
  • Support multiple destinations from a single API Gateway stage simultaneously
