AWS Lambda recursive loop detection is now available in Europe Sovereign Cloud
Regional Expansion
AWS Lambda recursive loop detection is now available in Europe Sovereign Cloud, automatically detecting and stopping recursive invocations between Lambda functions and supported services.
- Prevents unexpected billing from unintended recursive loops caused by misconfiguration or code defects
- Automatically stops event processing when loops are detected and sends AWS Health Dashboard notifications
- Enabled by default for Lambda functions using supported SDK versions
- Can be disabled using PutFunctionRecursionConfig API for intentional recursive loops
This feature helps customers building event-driven applications with S3, SQS, and SNS avoid costly recursive invocation issues.
