AWS Budgets now verifies new email subscribers before sending them budget alerts, enhancing notification delivery reliability.
- New email addresses receive a verification email with a confirmation link
- Recipients must confirm via AWS Management Console to start receiving notifications
- Verification applies to addresses added from September 30, 2026 onward
- Existing subscribers on current budgets remain unaffected and need no action
- AWS Budgets console displays verification status with resend options
- Available in all AWS Regions except GovCloud (US) and China Regions
Email verification improves the reliability of AWS Budgets notifications by ensuring only confirmed recipients receive cost and usage alerts.
