News
Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio now supports custom Tooling blueprints, allowing domain administrators to define project environments using their own AWS CloudFormation templates.
- Administrators can tailor project environments to meet organization-specific requirements like IAM role naming standards
- Custom permissions boundaries can replace AWS managed policies for enhanced control
- Templates are validated at registration and after each project deployment
- Supports any CloudFormation resource including Lake Formation grants, Athena workgroups, and VPC security groups
- Works across multiple AWS accounts and Regions without per-project edits
- Reserved template parameters like project ID and domain ID are automatically populated at deployment
- Available in all AWS Regions where SageMaker Unified Studio is supported
This feature enables organizations to standardize and scale project environments while maintaining compliance with internal policies and naming conventions.
