AWS HealthOmics now supports shared VPCs

News

AWS HealthOmics now supports sharing VPCs across accounts, enabling workflows to access resources in Amazon Virtual Private Clouds managed by other AWS accounts.

  • Centralize networking administration by sharing subnets and security groups across multiple accounts
  • Place workflows directly into shared subnets without duplicating VPC endpoints
  • Access data privately without VPC peering connections or separate PrivateLink endpoints
  • Reduces infrastructure overhead and simplifies network management for organizations
  • Available in all AWS HealthOmics regions: US East, US West, Europe, Israel, and Asia Pacific

Cross-account VPC sharing enables researchers to run bioinformatics workflows in their own accounts while leveraging centrally managed networking infrastructure.
