AWS Transit Gateway and AWS Cloud WAN now support 1:1 NAT
News
AWS Transit Gateway and AWS Cloud WAN now support managed one-to-one NAT directly on attachments through Regional Private NAT Gateway integration.
- Connect private networks with overlapping CIDR blocks without renumbering or deploying NAT appliances
- Define address-translation rules specifying how source CIDR ranges translate to private IP ranges
- Automatic bidirectional translation with no separate return-traffic rules required
- Works across Amazon VPC, AWS Site-to-Site VPN, AWS Direct Connect, and SD-WAN appliances
- AWS manages scaling and operations as part of the attachment
- Setup in minutes via AWS Management Console, CLI, SDKs, or CloudFormation
- Monitor translated traffic through CloudWatch metrics and EventBridge events
- Available in all AWS commercial regions where Transit Gateway and Cloud WAN operate
This capability simplifies network connectivity during mergers, acquisitions, and multicloud deployments by eliminating IP address conflicts.
