AWS has announced a new AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) L2 construct for AWS Glue that simplifies the configuration of Glue jobs, workflows, and triggers.

• Provides constructors specific to job types with best-practice default configurations
• Reduces complexity of defining Glue resources by automatically setting job parameters
• Supports creating Glue jobs with minimal configuration, such as Python Spark ETL jobs
• Enables easy creation of workflow triggers, including on-demand workflows
• Currently in alpha stage, will be integrated into the core CDK library after stabilization

The new construct aims to improve developer experience by providing opinionated interfaces and reducing the complexity of configuring AWS Glue resources.
